Welcome to the Student Astronaut Challenge

We are pleased to announce the Regional Examination for the Student Astronaut Challenge will continue on schedule for Saturday, September 23rd . All testing centers are open and will be ready to host this years competition. We will be suspending the cut off date for registration fee payment and will accept payments the day of the test. We will also extend the registration date until Thursday the 21st at midnight.

Our competition team is sensitive to the concerns of schools within Broward and Dade county regarding, the effects of the hurricane, therefore we are making the following accommodation:

A makeup test will be scheduled for Saturday, September 30th at South Plantation High school for those teams whose schools are closed during part or all of the week preceding the test (9/18- 9/22) due to storm damage or power outages. In order to be permitted to test on the scheduled makeup day the school district will have to affirm to SAC that the school was closed during that period of time.

If your school meets the makeup testing criteria, please contact us as soon as possible. For our other participants we wish you the best of luck and we will see you on September 23rd .

Sincerely,
Peter Carafano
Director
